Using Preview Domains
Open “Domain properties” screen.
Preview Domain section is visible on domain properties screen if two conditions are met:
- DNS is enabled for your hosting plan.
- Preview Domain is configured on the hosting plan level by i7MEDIA.
A Preview Domain is a temporary sub-domain provided to you by i7MEDIA in the form your-domain.com.server.i7media.net or your-domain.com.server.i7host.us. Preview Domains allow you to access web sites or mailboxes during DNS propagation. DNS propagation is the time required to spread out the information about your domain across the Internet and it may take up to 48 hours.
If the Preview Domain section is available, but a preview domain was not enabled automatically during domain creation you have to click “Create Preview Domain” button to enable it. The Preview Domain will be automatically added as a pointer to the web site or mail domain created for selected domain.
When DNS propagation is finished and you can access your web site or mailbox using the primary domain you can delete the Preview Domain by clicking “Delete Preview Domain” button.
