For 12 years i7MEDIA has provided reliable hosting services to businesses of all different sizes around the globe. We are committed to continuing that same level service for years to come.

We were recently notified by our Datacenter Provider that they are ceasing all operations at our primary datacenter location in Kansas City, MO. This came as a complete shock to us for a variety of reasons, 1) we have active service contracts with our provider that are being breached by this action, and 2) we have had nothing but astounding service from our provider in the 10 years we have worked with them.

We have secured colocation services from a new provider in Kansas City, MO, that will allow us streamline much of our hosting infrastructure and grow it more rapidly. Rest assured, aside from a short outage this coming weekend, your sites, applications, and other services will be online for your customers. i7MEDIA is not shutting down and we have no intention of doing so.

What happens next?

We have finalized all negotiations with our new provider and have set the date of our migration of all equipment to their facility as Sunday, June 27 between 3PM - 5PM Central Standard Time. We anticipate having everything operational much quicker than the allotted time.

What do I need to do?

If your domain(s) DNS is hosted by i7MEDIA, you don't need to do anything beyond notifying your customers that your site will be down for a little bit on Sunday, June 27 between 3PM - 5PM Central Standard Time.

If your domain(s) DNS is not hosted by i7MEDIA, or you have a dedicated hosting service with i7MEDIA, you will receive a separate email with instructions on what changes you need to make to your DNS or other services.

Will this move result in a price increase?

In our 12 years, we have never raised prices on our existing customers. Only when a customer requests additional services, does their bill increase. So, in keeping with our tradition of staying true to our word with our customers, we will not be increasing prices for our existing customers.

Where can I get updates during the migration?

We have setup a website at https://i7media.info and we will be updating it periodically during the migration.

We understand that this migration strategy is not ideal. Under any normal circumstances, we would not plan for a migration to happen with such short notice. Unfortunately, this particular situation is out of our control. If you have questions or concerns, please email or call us.

Sincerely,
Joe Davis
